Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

    Refer to Gasoline/Gasoline Vapors Warning .

    WARNING:

    Refer to Safety Glasses Warning .

  1. Relieve the system fuel pressure. Fuel Pressure Relief 
  2. Remove the fuel feed front hose. Fuel Feed Front Hose Replacement

  3. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the retainers (2).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS-V)
  5. Remove the underbody front air deflector right side. Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Right Side
  6. Remove the front body exhaust heat shield right side. Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Right)Front Body Exhaust Heat Shield Replacement (Left)
  7. Remove the right side catalytic converter and exhaust. Exhaust System Replacement (LF3, LGX)

  8. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) and remove from retainers (2). Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  9. Remove the fuel feed pipe (1) from the vehicle.
