Removal Procedure

    WARNING:

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS)Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (CTS-V)

  2. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe fastener (1).
  3. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe clamp (2).
  4. Place a clean drain pan large enough to capture the fuel that may be expelled once the hose is removed.
  5. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe (3) from the fuel tank.
  6. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement
  7. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel liner. Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement

  8. Remove the tie straps (3) attaching the evaporative emission canister purge pipe and fuel tank vent hose to the fuel tank filler pipe.
  9. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe fastener (1).
  10. Remove the fuel tank vent hose (2) from the fuel tank filler pipe. Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  11. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe (4) from the vehicle.
