Installation Procedure
- Apply a light coat of wheel speed sensor anti-corrosion grease to the wheel speed sensor and mounting pad on the wheel hub and bearing assembly. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install Wheel Speed Sensor (1)
- Install and tighten Wheel Speed Sensor Bolt (1) to 13 N.m (115 lb in)
- Install the front wheel hub and bearing assembly to the steering knuckle while carefully feeding the wheel speed sensor harness through the brake shield.
- Install the front wheel hub and bearing bolts. Refer to Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (Light Duty)Front Wheel Hub, Bearing, and Seal Replacement (Heavy Duty)
- Secure Wheel Speed Sensor Harness Clip (1) @ Steering Knuckle
- Secure Wheel Speed Sensor Harness Clip (1) @ Brake Hose
- Secure Wheel Speed Sensor Electrical Connector Clip (1)
- Connect Wheel Speed Sensor Electrical Connector
- Install Front Brake Rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement (JD9)Front Brake Rotor Replacement (J95)
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel)
- Perform the Diagnostic Repair Verification after completing the repair: Diagnostic Repair Verification
