Installation Procedure

    If you are replacing the battery with a serviced NEW battery, detach the vent plug (1), that comes with the positive post cover.

    Install the vent plug (1), opposite side of the battery vent hose (2).

    Battery (1) - Install

    Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Install

    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  5. Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Battery Vent Tube (1) - Engage

  7. Battery Hold Down Retainer (3) - Install
  8. Battery Hold Down Bolt (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Battery Hold Down Strap (2) - Install

  10. Battery Hold Down Strap Fastener (1) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

    Battery Positive Cable (3) - Install

  12. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Tighten 6 N.m (53 lb in)
  13. Battery Positive Post Cover (2) - Install

    Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover (3) - Install

  15. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover Retainer (1) - Engage [2x]
  16. Battery Distribution Fuse Block Cover Fastener (2) - Install and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  17. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
