Component Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S86 Vehicle Stability Control Switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between the appropriate circuits listed below with the switch in the open position.
- Terminal 1 and the ground terminal 2 (M3L)
- Terminal 2 and the ground terminal 5 (MYA)
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the S86 Vehicle Stability Control Switch.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the signal terminal and the ground terminal listed below with the switch in the closed position.
- Terminal 1 and the ground terminal 2 (M3L)
- Terminal 2 and the ground terminal 5 (MYA)
- If 5 Ω or greater
Replace the S86 Vehicle Stability Control Switch.
- Go to next step: If less than 5 Ω
- All OK.
