Removal Procedure
- Block the drive wheels.
- Disable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling
- Place the ignition in the OFF position.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the left rear tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With J64) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (With J55) .
- Remove the left rear wheelhouse panel liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
Remove the parking brake cable nut (1).
- Disconnect the electronic parking brake control module electrical connector.
Remove the electronic parking brake control module nuts (1).
- Remove the electronic parking brake control module and bracket assembly.
- Remove the electronic parking brake control modulator bracket, if necessary. Refer to Electronic Parking Brake Control Modulator Bracket Replacement .
