Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) , or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)
Front Fender Rear Upper Brace (4) - Remove - Front Fender Rear Upper Brace Replacement
Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Cover (1) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable Nut (2) - Remove
- Battery Positive Cable (3) - Remove
- Retainer Clip (4) - Disengage
Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut (1) - Loosen
- Disconnect the wiring harness connector at the right side of the fuse block.
Retaining Tab (1) - Disengage [2x]
- Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block (2) - Reposition away - Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (with K4B, KHB) , or Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (NV8) , or Battery Distribution Engine Compartment Fuse Block Replacement (without K4B)
Reposition the radiator surge tank (3). Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (L83 L86)
Battery Hold Down Bolt (1) - Remove
- Battery Hold Down Retainer (2) - Remove
- Battery (3) - Remove
