Tune-Up Notes Changes, Cautions, Corrections
- REMOTE STARTING CAUTION:
When using remote starter button to turn over or start engine, ignition switch must be in ON position. If ignition switch is not in ON position, internal ground circuit in switch may be damaged.
- HEADLIGHT SWITCH NOTE:
Six to eight pounds pressure are required to push in the headlight switch knob on all models. This was done so that an accidental bump would not turn the headlights off.
- CARBURETOR AIR CLEANER NOTE:
Original equipment air cleaner element may be either polyurethane foam or oil-wetted paper. Polyurethane foam type may be cleaned in solvent and reoiled. Oil-wetted paper type must never be oiled, washed, tapped, blown, or cleaned in any way. Service on oil-wetted paper type element is limited to inspection, testing, and replacement, if necessary.
- HAZARD WARNING FLASHER CAUTION:
If brake pedal is depressed while hazard flasher is operating, both front and rear lights will stop flashing and burn steadily until brake pedal is released. This is normal operation, and should not be taken as an indication that anything is wrong. Hazard flashers are intended to be used only when the car is parked.
