Test Conditions

  1. Place car inside or in shade (not in direct sunlight). Close all doors and windows.
  2. Raise hood and make certain exhaust gases freely dispersed.
  3. Set air conditioning controls for maximum cooling: Temperature Dial Thumbwheel at "65", Selector Lever at "Hi", all air conditioning outlets open.
  4. Remove programmer cover, pull Black vacuum hose off transducer fitting and plug the hose.
    NOTE: An alternate method is to connect ATC Tester J-23678 and use tester MANUAL control to maintain maximum cooling and blower speed.
  5. Install Manifold Gauge Set to check system pressures. Place a thermometer in front of vehicle grille and second thermometer in right hand air conditioning outlet.
  6. Operate system for approximately 10 minutes or until settled out before noting performance.
