Injection Pump: Removal
- Disconnect battery ground cable. Drain cooling system. Remove fan shroud, radiator, and coolant recovery bottle.
- Remove upper dust cover. Loosen tension pulley and plate bolt. Remove tension spring and pump gear attaching nut. Using Puller (J-22888), remove injection pump gear. Disconnect fuel lines and necessary wiring.
- Remove fuel filter at bracket. Disconnect injector lines at pump and nozzles. Remove lines. Remove 4 bolts attaching pump rear bracket and remove bracket. Remove nuts attaching injection pump flange. Remove injection pump together with fast idle device and return spring.
