Electrical Component Locator: Switches
SWITCHES LOCATION

| A/C Cut-Out Sw. (Cutlass & Regal) | On accelerator pedal bracket. |
| A/C Pressure Cycling Switch | On right side of firewall (in engine comp.), on accumulator. See Figure. |
| Brake Accumulator Press. Sw. | On left side of firewall, near brake booster. |
| Brake Booster Low Vac. Switch | On power brake booster (models with belt-driven vacuum pump). |
| Brake Pressure Switch | On frame at rear base of left front wheelwell. |
| Brake/Stop Light Switch | At top of brake pedal support. |
| Brake/Torque Converter Clutch Sw. | At top of brake pedal support. |
| Coolant Temperature Switch: 3.8L V6 | At top front side of engine, behind water pump. See Figure. |
| Coolant Temperature Switch: 4.3L V6 | Behind A/C compressor. |
| Coolant Temperature Switch: V8 | At left side of engine, below exhaust manifold. |
| Cruise Control Release Switch | On brake pedal support. |
| EFE Temperature Switch | At top front of engine, above water pump. See Figure. |
| EGR Temp. Switch (4.3L V6) | On intake manifold, in front of distributor. See Figure. |
| Gear Selector Switch | Attached to base of steering column. |
| Oil Pressure Switch: 3.8L V6 | At front of engine, behind coolant inlet. See Figure. |
| Oil Pressure Switch: 4.3L V6 | At left rear of intake manifold. |
| Oil Pressure Switch: 5.0L V8 (VIN H) | On left side of engine, below exhaust manifold (without gauges); on left side of engine, to left of distributor (with gauges). |
| Oil Pressure Switch: All Others | At front of engine, behind water pump. |
| Parking Brake Switch | Under left side of dash, on parking brake pedal support. |
| Seat Belt Switch | Part of driver's seat belt assembly. |
| Trunk Lock Tamper Switch | At center rear of trunk lid, at lock cylinder. |
| Trunk Release Switch | In glove compartment. |
| Turbo Boost Indicator Switch | On right front fender, above wheelwell. |
| 3rd & 4th Gear Switches | At middle left side of transmission. |
