Front Wiper Motor

Spectrum

Connect ammeter to high speed circuit of motor. Current draw should be less than 3 amps.

Sprint

1) Remove wiper arm linkage. Remove wiper motor cover (if

equipped). Unplug wiring connector. Test low speed circuit by

applying 12 volts of battery current to terminal No. 3 (positive)

and grounding Black lead to battery ground.

2) If motor rotates at a low speed of 45-55 rpm, low speed

circuit is operating properly. See Fig 1. Connect battery positive

lead to terminal No. 4. Ground battery negative to wiper motor Black

lead. If motor rotates at a high speed of 68-78 rpm, high speed

circuit is working properly.

3) To test motor automatic stop circuit, connect battery

positive lead to terminal No. 4 and connect battery negative lead to

Black lead of wiper motor. Install a jumper wire between terminals No.

2 and No. 3. See Fig 1.

4) After repeating this test several times, motor should stop

in the same location each time. This will verify that automatic stop

circuit is working properly. See Fig 1.
