Fuel Gauge Sending Unit
- Using an ohmmeter, check sending unit resistance with changes in float position between Black and Yellow/Red wires. With float in "FULL" (up) position, resistance should be 1-5 ohms. With float in "EMPTY" (down) position, resistance should be 103-117 ohms. With float position in "1/2" (mid) position, resistance should be 28.5-36.5 ohms.
- Check resistance between Black and Yellow/Blue wires. There should be continuity when the sending unit is exposed to air. There should be no continuity when sending unit is in fluid.
