Wipers Will Not Turn Off

  1. Remove electrical connector from wiper motor. Turn ignition on. Ensure wiper switch is off.
  2. Using voltmeter, measure voltage from Gray wire of wiper motor connector to ground. If battery voltage exists, go to step 4).
  3. If battery voltage did not exist, measure voltage at Purple wire of wiper motor connector and ground. If no voltage exists, replace wiper motor. If battery voltage exists, check for short to battery voltage in Purple wire between wiper switch and wiper motor. If no short exists, replace wiper switch.
  4. If battery voltage exists, check for short to battery voltage in Gray wire between wiper motor and wiper switch. If no short exists, replace wiper switch.
