Coolant Temperature Indicator Test
- If indicator fails to activate when cranking engine, check for defective bulb, open light circuit, or defective ignition switch.
- If indicator light is activated at all times with engine running, ensure engine is operating at proper temperature. With ignition on, disconnect electrical connector at temperature sending unit.
- If light is not activated, replace sending unit. If light is activated, check for ground in wire between bulb and sending unit, defective ignition switch, or defective instrument cluster.
