Oil Indicator Test
- If light does not activate with ignition on and engine not running, disconnect Tan wire from fuel pump/oil pressure switch. Connect jumper wire from Tan wire to ground. Light should activate with ignition on.
- If light fails to activate, check for open circuit in Tan wire to instrument cluster or loose connections at instrument cluster. If wiring and connections are okay, replace instrument cluster. If light activates, replace fuel pump/oil pressure switch.
- If light remains on when engine is running above idle speed, ensure oil pressure is correct. If oil pressure is correct, disconnect Tan wire at fuel pump/oil pressure switch. If light is activated, check for grounded Tan wire between bulb and fuel pump/oil pressure switch. If light is not activated, replace fuel pump/oil pressure switch.
