Voltmeter Test

Install voltmeter between battery terminals with ignition on and note reading. If voltmeter reading on vehicle varies with battery voltage reading, ensure wiring to voltmeter is okay and connections are tight. Replace voltmeter or instrument cluster if connections and wiring are okay.
