Power Window Regulator & Motor: Removal

1. Roll the window up, and apply cloth backed body tape from the window over the top of the door to the other side of the window. This is to hold the window in position when the regulator is removed.
2. Remove negative battery cable.
3. Remove door trim panel. See DOOR TRIM PANEL  .
4. Remove wiring harness from the regulator motor.
5. Remove regulator-to-door rivets. Use a 6 mm (1/4-inch) drill bit to drill head from rivets.
6. Remove regulator from door. See Fig 1 .
7. Drill out motor-to-regulator rivets.
8. Remove power window motor from regulator.
