Coolant Temperature Indicator Accuracy Test

(Beretta, Camaro, Caprice, Cavalier & Corsica)

1) If indicator does not illuminate when cranking engine, check for defective bulb, open light circuit, or defective ignition switch.

2) If indicator illuminates at all times with engine running, ensure engine is operating at proper temperature. With ignition on, disconnect electrical connector at temperature sending unit.

3) If indicator does not illuminate, replace sending unit. If indicator illuminates, check for ground in wire between bulb and sending unit, defective ignition switch, or defective IPC.
