Servo Resistance Test: 2.5L
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 1992 Pontiac Grand Am, 1992 Oldsmobile Achieva, 1992 Buick Skylark, 1991 Pontiac Grand Am, and 1991 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect ECM Black 24-pin connector. Measure resistance between ground and ECM Black 24-pin connector terminal No. 10 (Light Green wire). See Figure .
- If resistance is 35-55 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 35 ohms, check Light Green wire for short to ground. Repair as necessary. If resistance is greater than 55 ohms, check wires between ECM Black 24-pin connector and servo for open(s). See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS Section. See Figure and Fig 1 . Repair as necessary.
- Measure resistance between ground and ECM Black 24-pin connector terminal No. 11 (Dark Blue/White wire). See Figure . If resistance is 35-55 ohms, perform SERVO ACTUATION TEST under TESTING. If resistance is less than 35 ohms, check Dark Blue/White wire for short to ground. Repair as necessary. If resistance is greater than 55 ohms, check Dark Blue/White wire for open. Repair as necessary.
