Indicator Inoperative
- Remove ABS light driver module circuit board. Light driver module is located behind parking brake cable bracket. Using a fused jumper, connect driver module terminal "E" (Purple wire) to ground. Turn ignition on. If ABS indicator light does not come on, check for poor connection at terminal "B" (Purple wire) of connector C215, located behind instrument panel grommet, or terminal "N" (Purple wire) of cluster connector. Also check for open in Purple wire, or for defective indicator bulb. If connector, terminal, wiring, and bulb are okay, replace instrument cluster.
- If ABS indicator light comes on, connect fused jumper between ABS light driver module terminals "E" (Purple wire) and "D" (Black wire). If indicator light does not come on, repair open in Black wire.
- If indicator light comes on, remove jumper. Using test light, backprobe driver module terminal "B" (Pink/Black wire) to ground. If test light does not come on, check for poor connection at terminal "A" (Pink/Black wire) of connector C215, located behind instrument panel grommet. If connection is okay, repair open in Pink/Black wire.
- If test light comes on, turn ignition off. Unplug EBCM connector C1. Using test light, backprobe between ABS light driver module terminals "B" (Pink/Black wire) and "C" (Dark Blue wire). Turn ignition on. If test light comes on, repair short to ground in Dark Blue wire.
- If test light does not come on, reinstall ABS light driver module circuit board. If ABS indicator light does not come on, replace ABS light driver module. If ABS indicator light comes on, check for poor connection at EBCM. If connections are okay, replace EBCM.
