Speedometer Is Inaccurate & ECM Code 24 Is Set (3.1L)
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between terminal "A" (Pink/White wire) of VSS buffer connector C1 and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Pink/White wire.
- Measure voltage between terminals "A" (Pink/White wire) and "B" (Black wire) of VSS buffer connector C1. If battery voltage exists, go to next step. If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Black wire.
- Turn ignition on. Set transaxle in Neutral. Raise and support front wheels. Set voltmeter to AC scale. Measure voltage between terminals "A" (Yellow wire) and "C" (Purple wire) of VSS buffer connector C2 while rotating front wheels by hand. If voltage cycles between zero and one volt, check for poor connections at VSS buffer connectors C1 and C2. If connections are okay, replace VSS buffer. If voltage remains zero, check for open in Yellow or Purple wire, or for poor connections at VSS buffer connector C2. If wire and connections are okay, replace VSS.
