Removal & Installation: Notes

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.

NOTE: When PASSLOCK(R) lock cylinder, IPC or PCM are replaced, vehicle will go through a tamper mode. Vehicle may start and stall for 10 minutes. If this occurs, vehicle must go through a LONG TAMPER MODE cycle to allow the IPC and PCM to complete a learn cycle. Theft warning light should flash for 10 minutes. Ignition switch MUST remain in RUN position until theft warning light stops flashing, or cycle will have to be repeated.
