Code 125 - EBTCM-To-Pcm TCS Active Circuit Malfunction (With TCS): Notes

Traction control system uses the anti-lock brake system in conjunction with PCM fuel and ignition controls to limit drive wheel slippage during deceleration.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart. Use only 10-megohm (minimum) DVOM for all voltage and resistance tests. For identification of circuits and terminals referenced in charts and text, see WIRING DIAGRAMS .

  1. Checks for proper voltage at PCM terminal.
  2. Checks for short to voltage on traction control active circuit.
  3. Ensures fault is not due to physical damage to circuit.
  4. Checks for open traction control active circuit.
  5. Checks for ground in traction control active circuit.
  6. Checks for possible poor terminal contact at EBTCM.
