Body Control Module (BCM)/Remote Transmitter Will Not Program

  1. Check BCM for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) 23 and 33. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULE article. If no codes are present, program a known good remote transmitter and test Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system. See PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE  .
  2. If RKE system operates normally, original transmitter was defective. If BCM does not program using a known-good transmitter, replace BCM.
