Right Mirror Does Not Operate In Up/Down Or Left/Right Mode

  1. Disconnect right power mirror connector. Using mirror select switch, select RIGHT mirror. Connect test light between power mirror harness connector terminal "A" (Light Blue/White wire) and ground. Move power mirror switch to DOWN position. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step 3).
  2. Connect test light between right power mirror harness connector terminals "A" (Light Blue/White wire) and "C" (Brown/White wire). Move power mirror switch to UP, then DOWN positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step 7). If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 8).
  3. Disconnect right power mirror switch. Using DVOM, check resistance in Light Blue/White wire circuit between power mirror switch connector C1, terminal "E" and power mirror connector terminal "A". If 0-2 ohms exists, go to step 5). If 0-2 ohms does not exist, go to next step.
  4. Repair open in Light Blue/White wire between power mirror switch and power mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  5. Using DVOM, measure resistance between power mirror switch connector C1, terminal "E" (Light Blue/White wire) and ground. If an infinite reading exists, go to step 13). If an infinite reading does not exist, go to next step.
  6. Repair short to ground in Light Blue/White wire between power mirror switch and right power mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  7. Connect test light between right power mirror connector terminals "A" (Light Blue/White wire) and "B" (Red/White wire). Move mirror switch to LEFT, then RIGHT positions. If test light illuminates in both positions, go to step 10). If test light does not illuminate in both positions, go to step 11).
  8. Disconnect power mirror switch. Using DVOM, check resistance in Brown/White wire between power mirror switch connector C1, terminal "B" and right power mirror connector terminal "C". If 0-2 ohms exists, go to step 13). If 0-2 ohms does not exist, go to next step.
  9. Repair open in Brown/White wire between power mirror switch and right power mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  10. Replace inoperative power mirror. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  11. Disconnect power mirror switch connector. Using DVOM, check resistance in Red/White wire between power mirror switch connector C1, terminal "C" and right power mirror connector terminal "B". If 0-2 ohms exists, go to step 13). If 0-2 ohms does not exist, go to next step.
  12. Repair open in Red/White wire between power mirror switch and right power mirror. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Recheck system operation.
  13. Replace power mirror switch. See POWER MIRROR SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
