Fuel Level Sender Unit & Float: Removal

Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK . Remove fuel pump module with defective fuel level sender and float. See PRIMARY FUEL PUMP MODULE or SECONDARY FUEL PUMP MODULE .
Disconnect fuel level sender unit and float electrical connector. On secondary fuel pump module assembly, use a pick to press down on the Silver connector and disconnect ground wire from fuel pressure regulator.
On all applications, use a small screwdriver to release the double-sided snap lock feature. See Figure . Remove the fuel level sender card by sliding card down.
