Removal & Installation: Notes

WARNING: Before servicing instrument panel or steering column components on vehicles with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAIN SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on instrument panel or steering column without deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
