Shock Sensor
- Turn ignition off. Remove left instrument panel insulator. Remove BCM PRGRM fuse. Turn ignition switch to ACC position. Seat belt indicator flashes and chime sounds 4 times, indicating type 4 BCM. Within one second, turn ignition switch to LOCK, then back to ACC position.
- Rotate shock sensor adjustment knob counterclockwise to decrease alarm sensitivity level or clockwise to increase sensitivity level. Shock sensor is located under dashboard assembly, to right of steering column.
- Rotate shock sensor adjustment knob in 30 degree increments. After adjustment, simulate a small impact to outside of vehicle. Horn will sound for 25 milliseconds when a light impact is triggered, 100 milliseconds for a heavy impact. Adjust until desired sensitivity is achieved.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Re-install fuse and insulator.
