Removal & Installation: Notes

WARNING: Before servicing instrument panel or steering column components on vehicles with Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) system, disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAIN SYSTEM in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS - PRIZM article. DO NOT apply electrical power to any component on instrument panel or steering column without deactivating air bag system. Air bag may deploy.

CAUTION: If battery is disconnected, radio will go into anti-theft protection mode. Obtain radio anti-theft protection code from owner prior to servicing vehicle.
