Lower Control Arm: Installation

1. Install lower control arm to suspension crossmember, and tighten bolt to 159 ft. lbs. (215 N.m). On A/T equipped models, raise and install suspension crossmember. Tighten 6 crossmember mounting bolts to 152 ft. lbs. (206 N.m) and remove support jack.
2. Tighten control arm bushing retaining bolts to 108-129 ft. lbs. (147-175 N.m).
3. On all models, install ball joint(s) to lower control arm(s) and tighten bolts and nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Check wheel alignment. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
