Asleep State
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 GMC Safari and 2001 Chevrolet Astro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
BCM is asleep when BCM has stopped controlling or monitoring devices and has become idle again. After ignition switch is turned to LOCK position and 20 minutes (1200 seconds) elapse without any Wake-Up signals, BCM enters into an asleep state and goes into low power mode. If BCM is in low power mode and detects a wake up, BCM will enter into wake-up state and enter high power mode. If vehicle has been left inactive (ignition in LOCK position and no BCM wake-ups) for 20 minutes, BCM will return to low power mode.
