DTC B1000: Ecu Malfunction: Description
Internal fault detection is handled inside control module. Control module runs an internal fault detection program when power up is commanded. Voltage and ground are the only 2 requirements. DTC B1000 will set if control module detects an internal memory (write error or checksum error) malfunction. When DTC B1000 sets, control module will refuse all additional inputs.
Current DTC B1000 will clear when control module makes a successful write to EEPROM and checksum maneuver. A history DTC B1000 will clear after 100 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for malfunction no longer exists.
