HVAC Module Assembly: Installation

- Install the HVAC module assembly to the vehicle. Install the interior HVAC module assembly retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install hinge pillar trim. Install cross vehicle support bar. Install the HVAC module assembly retaining bolts under the hood. Tighten the bolts to specification.
- Install the temperature control cable to the HVAC module assembly. Connect the vacuum harness to the HVAC module assembly. Install the PCM and the PCM bracket. Tighten the bolts to specification. Connect the electrical connections to the blower motor and the blower resistor.
- Connect the wiring harness to the HVAC module assembly. Install the floor air outlet. Install the I/P carrier. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Raise and support the vehicle. Install the accumulator bolt to the HVAC module assembly. Tighten the bolt to specification. Lower the vehicle. Install the remaining HVAC module assembly bolts. Tighten the HVAC module assembly bolts to specification. Connect the heater hoses to the heater core.
- Connect the evaporator tube to the evaporator. See EVAPORATOR TUBE . Tighten the fittings to specification. Evacuate and charge the A/C system. See RECOVERY, EVACUATION & RECHARGING in GENERAL SERVICING PROCEDURES article in GENERAL SERVICING. Fill the cooling system.
