Front Console: Removal

  1. Suitably block the drive wheels. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position. Place the shift lever in the Neutral position. Remove the console trim plate. See TRIM PLATE  .
  2. Raise the park brake handle as far as possible. If you cannot pull the park brake handle up far enough to remove the console, perform the following steps:
    • Release the park brake handle.
    • Hold the adjuster pawl disengaged. See Fig 1 .

    The park brake handle can be pulled up further.

  3. Remove the floor console bolts (1). See Fig 2 . Disconnect the power outlet electrical connector. Remove the floor console (2) from the vehicle.
