5.7L Engine

- Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove accessory drive belt. Raise and support vehicle. Remove nut and positive battery cable from generator BAT terminal. Remove generator rear bracket mounting bolt (1). Remove transmission oil cooler lines from retainer clip. Remove generator front mounting bolts (3) and clip. Disconnect generator harness connector. Remove generator.
- To install, Install generator. Connect generator harness connector. Install generator front mounting bolts (3) and retainer clip. Tighten bolts to 37 ft. lbs. (50 N.m). Install transmission oil cooler line to retaining clip. Install generator rear mounting bolt (1). Tighten bolt to 18 ft. lbs. (25 N.m). Install positive cable and nut to the generator. Tighten nut to 16 ft. lbs. (22 N.m). Lower vehicle. Install accessory drive belt. Connect negative battery cable.
