Code Enable Criteria

PCM will run diagnostic for this DTC under the following conditions:

• No TP, MAF, ECT, CKP, CMP sensor or VSS DTCs are set.
• Engine speed is 1000-5000 RPM.
• Engine has been running for a minimum of 30 seconds.
• Throttle angle is more than 15 percent.
• Engine load is more than 40 percent.
• Engine coolant temperature is more than 153°F (60°C).
• Maximum spark retard is less than 15 degrees.
• System voltage is more than 9 volts.
• Engine run time is more than 20 seconds.

DTC will set when PCM detects a malfunction in integrated knock sensor diagnostic circuitry which will not allow proper diagnosis of knock sensor circuits. Conditions must be present for at least 30 seconds.
