Fresh/Recirculated Air Control Lever
The fresh/recirculated air control lever mechanically operates a cable which opens or closes the fresh/recirculated air mode door to fresh (outside) air. When fresh/recirculated air lever is set to fresh, outside air is delivered to vehicle interior. With lever in fresh air mode, as vehicle speed increases, airflow through system increases.
When lever is in recirculated air position, outside air is shut off and air from inside passenger compartment is recirculated through the blower motor to selected air outlets. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Vehicle is equipped with full time outside air, a small amount of air enters passenger compartment in all modes of operation.
