DTC B3031: Controller In Learn Mode: Testing

  1. Perform system check. See SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Check for any other DTCs. Repair all other DTCs prior to diagnosing DTC B3031. Go to next step.
  3. Replace Passlock(tm) sensor. Perform reprogramming procedure. See PROGRAMMING  . Clear codes and repeat SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. If DTC still exists, go to next step. If DTC does not exist, test is complete.
  4. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  5. Reconnect all connectors and components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs. Perform reprogramming procedure. See PROGRAMMING  . Perform SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
