Test M: Keyless Entry System Inoperative (Base)

  1. Perform SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Disconnect RCDLR. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between RCDLR connector terminal "E" (Orange wire) and ground. See Figure . If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, go to step  5 .
  3. Using DVOM, check continuity between RCDLR connector terminal "N" (Black wire) and ground. See Figure . If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, go to step  6 .
  4. Replace RCDLR. See REMOTE CONTROL DOOR LOCK RECEIVER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, recheck system.
  5. Repair open in Orange wire between RCDLR and instrument panel fuse block. After repair, recheck system.
  6. Repair open in Black wire between RCDLR and ground G202. After repair, recheck system.
