Wiper System And Washer System: Description
Front wiper/washer system is a pulse-delay system. System uses a permanent-magnet, depressed-park, 2-speed wiper motor. System includes LOW, HIGH, an adjustable DELAY and MIST modes. Variable resistor in wiper switch adjusts amount of current to wiper control module. Front system consists of wiper motor, printed circuit board and linkage assembled in a tubular frame bracket.
Rear wiper/washer system is a single-speed wiper motor with a pulse-wipe mode. Rear system consists of wiper motor and wiper arm (directly attached to motor). Rear wiper/washer switch is mounted on instrument panel below radio. Separate front and rear washer pumps are located on washer reservoir in engine compartment. Rear washer pump is mounted higher than front, allowing rear washer to run out of fluid before front.
