Sliding Door Latch Detent Switch
The sliding door latch detent switch is located on latch assembly of Power Sliding Door (PSD). The sliding door latch communicates to Rear Side Door Actuator Control Module (RSDACM) through right door lock switch plate (door mounted) and right door lock switch plate (pillar mounted) located on right "B" pillar.
When PSD is closing and optical sensor senses door is within 12 inches of closing, RSDACM reduces power to PSD motor, slowing movement of door. When right door lock switch plates (door mounted and pillar mounted) make contact with one another, inputs from sliding door latch detent switch can be monitored. The first toggle of sliding door lock indicates PSD has passed secondary position to the closed and ajar position. As PSD continues to close, the next toggle from sliding door lock indicates PSD has closed and latched. When RSDACM has seen 2 inputs from sliding door lock, the PSD and clutch are disengaged.
