Test D: Both Power Seats Inoperative

  1. Check PWR/HEATED SEAT PSD circuit breaker (30-amp) located in fuse block. If circuit breaker is open, go to next step. If circuit breaker is not open, go to step  3 .
  2. Repair short to ground in Orange wire between fuse block and seat. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  3. Using a test light connected to ground, backprobe splice S302 (Orange wire). If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, go to step  5 .
  4. Repair poor connection or open in Black wire between splice S333 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  5. Repair poor connection or open in Orange wire between fuse block and splice S302. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Retest system. See POWER SEAT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
