Cruise Control Systems: Description

Cruise control is a speed control system that maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions. Steep grades up or down may cause variations in selected speeds. Cruise control system has the following capabilities.
- Cruise
- Coast
- Resume Speed
- Accelerate
- Tap-Up
- Tap-Down
Cruise control system consists of the following main components:
- Multifunction turn signal lever. Multifunction turn signal lever includes an ON-OFF-R/A switch and a SET/COAST switch.
- Cruise control module.
- Cruise control cable.
- Vehicle speed sensor.
- Cruise control release switch. Cruise control switch disengages cruise control system.
- Brakelight switch. Brakelight switch disengages the cruise system.
