Cruise Control Systems: Description

Cruise control is a speed control system that maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions. Steep grades up or down may cause variations in selected speeds. Cruise control system has the following capabilities.

Cruise control system consists of the following main components:

Cruise control release and brakelight switches are mounted on the brake pedal bracket. When brake pedal is depressed, cruise control system is electrically disengaged by these switches. Throttle returns to idle position.
