Shift Lock Solenoid: Removal
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Place the gearshift lever in the NEUTRAL position. Remove the 2 screws and the gearshift lever knob (1) from the gearshift lever (6). Remove the 4 screws and the center console from the vehicle. See Figure

- Unsnap the shift indicator cover from the shift indicator housing. See Figure
. Remove the connector of the shift lock solenoid from under the carpet. Disconnect the illumination lamp and shift lock solenoid connectors. See Figure
. Disconnect the shift interlock cable end from the key interlock cam. See Figure
.
- Remove the shift lock solenoid assembly (3) from the housing. See Fig 1
