Wake Up State

BCM performs its functions in wake-up state. BCM enters sleep state when active control or monitoring of system malfunctions has stopped, or when BCM is idling. BCM must detect certain wake-up inputs before entering wake-up state. BCM monitors BCM inputs during sleep state, allowing BCM to switch between 2 states. BCM wake-ups are as follows:

Any Class 2 communication requiring BCM interaction.
Door ajar switches and Door handle switches.
Dome lamp and Park lamps.
Ignition switch in RUN position.
Ignition key put into ignition switch and ignition key removed from ignition switch.
Interior lamp request active.
Key in door lock switch.
Power door lock switches.
RFA request to BCM.
