Removal & Installation: Notes

NOTE: Transmission removal and installation procedures are included in CLUTCH ASSEMBLY .

CAUTION: Before servicing any electrical component, the ignition key must be in the OFF or LOCK position and all electrical loads must be OFF, unless instructed otherwise in these procedures. If a tool or equipment could easily come in contact with a live exposed electrical terminal, also disconnect the negative battery cable. Failure to follow these precautions may cause personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

CAUTION: When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer, memory systems and remote keyless entry transmitters lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. Information transmitters (tire pressure, door lock/unlock, seat position memory, etc.) if equipped, may not work until reprogrammed. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
