Shift Lock Solenoid/Switch Assembly: Removal
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the floor consoles. See FRONT FLOOR CONSOLE and REAR FLOOR CONSOLE . Remove the gearshift selector illumination light from the shift indicator. See Figure .
- Remove 2 screws the shift indicator. Reposition the shift indicator in order to gain access to the shift lock solenoid and the shift lock switch assembly. See Figure .
- Remove the shift lock solenoid and the shift lock switch electrical connectors (2, 3) from shift lock solenoid and shift lock switch assembly. See Figure . Remove the 2 screws and the shift lock solenoid and shift lock switch assembly (2) from the gearshift selector.
