Installation Procedure

  1. Install the cruise control switch (3) to the vehicle. Secure the switch with the 3 screws (4).

    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  2. Install the right horn contact (2) to the steering wheel. Secure the contact with the 2 alien head bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the horn contact bolts to 8.8 N.m (78 in lbs).

  3. Install the Red/Blue wire (2) to the cruise control switch electrical connector (1).

  4. Close the TPA on the top of the cruise control switch electrical connector.
  5. Connect the cruise control switch electrical connector (1) to the steering wheel inflatable restraint module coil.

  7. Install the steering wheel inflatable restraint module. Refer to Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS in SIR.
