Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle.
- Place the jack stands under the front suspension crossmember.
- Lower the vehicle slightly in order to rest the weight of the vehicle on the front suspension crossmember and not on the control arms.
- Remove the tire and wheel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
.
- If the vehicle is equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), disconnect the wheel speed sensor.
- If the vehicle is equipped with ABS, remove the one bolt and the ABS wheel speed sensor from the strut.
- Remove the 1 bolt connecting the flexible hose to the strut assembly.
- Loosen the nuts on the lower side of the strut assembly. Do not remove the bolts.

- Partially lower the vehicle.
- Remove 3 strut assembly mounting nuts from the strut tower (2).

- Remove the following from the lower side of the strut assembly:
- Remove the strut assembly from the vehicle.
